About Our Church
Westside Christian School is managed by Westside Christian Church as an outreach to all families. Westside Christian Church is a nondenominational Church that teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God
(2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:19-21). It comprises 39 Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books which is the complete canon and finished work of the Holy Spirit.
No additions, substitutions, or subtractions are permitted.
There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
(Genesis 1:1-3; John 1:1-3; John 10:30; 1 John 5:7). We hold firmly to the Biblical position of creation and God as the originating cause.
Our Creed is Christ only and His Gospel
- • The deity of Christ (John 10:33)
- • His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23)
- • His shed blood for the atonement of the sins of the world (Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14,20)
- • His bodily resurrection (John 11:25,26)
- • His ascension (Acts 1:11)
- • His personal, visible return in power and glory (Matthew 24:42,44)
- • No man knows the hour or the day (Mark 13:32)
The Law was fulfilled in Christ and canceled at the Cross
(Colossians 2:13-17)
Salvation
- • All men are by nature sinful and lost (Romans 3:23)
- • Christ is the only means of salvation for our soul and eternal life (John 14:6; Acts 4:12)
- • We put on Christ and come under His blood through: Faith in Christ, Repentance, and Obedience (John 3:3-5; Acts 2:38; Galatians 3:27)
- • The offering of the Gospel, God's grace, is to every living soul (John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:9; Acts 17:30,31)
Accountability
Every man, good or bad, shall stand before God in judgment (John 5:28,29; 2 Corinthians 5:10).
Marriage and family are divine institutions, and marriage is comprised of one man and one woman (Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19:4-6).
The Great Commission
(Matthew 28:18-20): Every Christian and every New Testament Church is commanded and responsible for the propagation of the Gospel.
The spiritual unity of all Believers in Christ is commanded
No divisions or schisms (1 Corinthians 1:10; John 17:21; Ephesians 4:3-6).
